Pottery on the High Seas - 2008

John and Marilyn recently had the great fortune to combine two of their big passions in life, traveling and pottery.  They were privileged to be part of a pottery teaching program with the Princess Cruise Ship Line.  They spent a month teaching pottery while sailing between California and Florida, passing through the Panama Canal, making port calls in Central America, South American and Caribbean Islands. They thoroughly enjoyed sharing their love of clay with enthusiastic students while sailing to these exotic ports. The following photos show the wheel area, throwing and glazing classes and the students’ final masterpieces aboard the Island Princess.
